Is The Measure App free?
The app is free to download, and the Measure tool, the AR tape measure, is free to use. The other eight tools come with a Measure Pro subscription, bought through the App Store.
Is this Apple’s Measure app?
No. The Measure App is an independent app made by one developer. Apple’s own Measure app comes installed on iPhone. We compare the two on The Measure App vs Apple’s Measure.
Does it need the internet or an account?
No. The app makes no network requests, has no account and no analytics. Measurements you save are stored on your device only.
How accurate are the measurements?
Camera readings are estimates made by Apple’s ARKit, and the app labels them that way. They are good for planning and quick checks. For anything that has to be exact, check with a tape measure. Read more in is the iPhone Measure app accurate?
Which iPhones and iPads does it work on?
Any iPhone or iPad running iOS 17.0 or later. The camera tools need a device that supports ARKit world tracking; the level, ruler, ring sizer and stud finder work without it.
Can I export my measurements?
Yes. Saved measurements and floor plans can be exported as a PDF.
Which languages is it in?
The app is available in 27 languages, including Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese, Korean and Arabic.
